Ghana’s U-15 boys team earns $150,000 after winning a bronze medal at the 2025 CAF Schools Football Championship.
At the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship (ASFC), Ghana's U-15 boys team wrapped up their campaign in outstanding style by defeating Uganda 2-1 to win the bronze medal.
On Saturday's third-place playoff at the University of Ghana Stadium, the young Ghanaians, led by coach Kwaku Danso, came back from a goal down after Uganda took the lead early and maintained it until halftime.
Ghana made a remarkable comeback in the second half, scoring twice to complete the turnaround and deliver the country’s first-ever medal in the competition’s history.
This was Ghana’s debut appearance at the ASFC, having missed out on the previous two editions.
After their bronze medal achievement, Ghana will be awarded $150,000 in prize money.
