GNAT urges affected teachers to follow GES directive on reinstatement.

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has called on teachers who were recently dismissed from their positions to follow the directive issued by the Ghana Education Service (GES) regarding their potential reinstatement.

This  about the reinstatement of teachers who were unfairly dismissed over the past months.

This announced comes after the discussions dated on Monday, February 17, 2025, targets all teaching and non-Teaching staff who have yet to be added to the government payroll.

In response, the GES has established three-member committees nationwide to review these cases.

Thomas Musah, GNAT’s General Secretary, has urged the affected teachers to promptly submit their required documents for review.

“All those who have been affected, they are to submit their appointment letter, and their academic certificate, and they are ordered to submit their licensure certificate, and then the final one, their national service certificate, to the regional directorate where all these things will be validated, and once you are affected and you submit all these documents, you will be validated and subsequently reinstated, and that will put the matter to rest,” he said.

He further highlighted the importance of compliance with the given deadline, which is next week Friday, for the submission of these documents.

Additionally, “All teachers who have been affected should take note. Once the deadline has been given, we expect all members to comply with the date given which is next week, Friday, March 14, 2025.
