Abanga Jackson, the young boy from Boya in the Upper East Region, who went viral years ago for his passionate manifesto presentation in Primary 5, has achieved another milestone; currently, he is now the Senior Prefect of Bawku Senior High School.
His inspiring journey from a confident primary school pupil to a leader in one of Ghana’s respected senior high schools has warmed many hearts.
Jackson first caught national attention when a video of him delivering an intense and well-structured manifesto speech in basic school surfaced online.
His commanding voice, confidence, and impressive articulation made him an instant sensation, with many predicting a bright future in leadership for him. Years later, his leadership qualities have earned him the top student leadership position in his school.
His story has sparked excitement on social media, with many praising his determination and growth. “From Primary 5 to Senior Prefect—this is what consistency and hard work look like. Congratulations, Jackson!” one user commented. Another added, “We all saw this coming. Leadership was written all over him from day one.”
In a recent interview, Jackson expressed his gratitude for the support and encouragement he has received over the years.
He credited his teachers, parents, and peers for believing in him and shaping him into the leader he is becoming. “I have always had a passion for leadership, and I am grateful for this opportunity to serve my fellow students. This is just the beginning,” he said confidently.
Many believe Jackson’s achievement should serve as motivation for young students across Ghana.
His story proves that early signs of leadership, when nurtured properly, can yield great results. Some have even suggested that he could venture into politics in the future, considering his natural talent for public speaking and leadership.
As he takes on his new role as Senior Prefect, Jackson is expected to implement initiatives that will positively impact student welfare and discipline at Bawku SHS.
His journey continues to be an inspiration, proving that leadership is not just about age but about vision, dedication, and a willingness to serve.
