13,700 trained teachers are deployed by the National Service Authority for the 2025/2026 National Service.
The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially deployed 13,700 trained teachers to various educational institutions across Ghana as part of the 2025/2026 National Service period.
According to a press release and signed by NSA Director-General Felix Gyamfi, the authority confirmed that the first batch of trained teachers from accredited teacher training colleges has been posted to schools nationwide.
The deployment aims to support the education sector by filling gaps, particularly in rural communities.
All deployed service personnel are required to visit the NSA website, www.nss.gov.gh, to check their placements and print their appointment letters for endorsement by their assigned institutions.
However, personnel must begin their regional validation processes at designated NSA centers from March 26 to April 11, 2025, before officially commencing their service on April 2, 2025.
The NSA reaffirmed that under the National Service Authority Act 1119 (2024), every Ghanaian citizen aged 18 and above who has completed an accredited tertiary institution is mandated to undertake national service.
The authority also emphasized its commitment to strengthening partnerships with the Ghana Education Service (GES), the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS), and private educational institutions to enhance learning outcomes nationwide.
The deployment is expected to address shortages of teaching staff, especially in underserved communities, and contribute to improving education in the country.
