The Full List of 79 NPP MPs Forming a Minority in Ghana's Next Parliament
The December 7, 2024, parliamentary elections dealt a big blow to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as the party lost most of its parliamentary seats.
Some top Members of Parliament (MP) from the NPP side sadly lost their seats.
Currently, the NPP has seventy-eight (78) seats to their name.
Although some seats are still in contention as final collation has not been complete, that will not change the fortunes of the NPP should they win those. This means the NPP will be the minority group in the 9th parliament.
The NPP’s Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who prides himself as the majority leader in the 8th parliament, will return to the 9th parliament as a minority leader.
