The management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has assured all affected staff of addressing their outstanding salary-related issues.
The management of GES stated in an official letter dated August 19, 2024, that it is part of their mandate to ensure the welfare of their staff; therefore, they are reassuring all staff that they will address all outstanding salary-related issues.
“We appreciate and relate to the plight of our affected staff due to the upsurge of salary-related issues and their adverse effects on productivity,” GES added.
Addressing the problem at hand, GES made it clear that they, in collaboration with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD), have set up a strong technical working team to expeditiously resolve all the outstanding issues relating to salary reactivations.
“In our quest to resolve these issues, management, in collaboration with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD), has set up a strong technical working team to expeditiously resolve all the outstanding issues relating to salary re-activations. Responsibility Allowances, Salaries of New Entrants, among others.”
Elaborating, the letter also stated that management is working assiduously to ensure that the majority or all affected staff’s outstanding salary-related issues get resolved by the end of August and September 2024.
“Management is assuring all affected staff that the team is frantically working to address, if not all, most of the outstanding salary-related issues by the end of August and September 2024.”
