3 Robbers Jailed 345 Years Imprisonment
Five of them were found guilty of various charges, only three were sentenced to imprisonment, with the rest being slapped with various sums of fines.
Three armed robbers have been sentenced to a total jail term of 345 years for their involvement in a series of robbery and carjacking incidents in the Ashanti Region.
They were among seven persons who were arrested as suspects in 2023.
Though five of them were found guilty of various charges, only three were sentenced to imprisonment, with the rest being slapped with various sums of fines.
Arrest
According to the statement released by the Ghana Police Service announcing their conviction said Jeffrey Dwomoh, Clifford Opoku, Kwabena Kyei Barfour, Prince Opuni, Henry Kusi Marfo, Richard Dogbatsey, and William Ansah were arrested last year.
However, they were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery, abetment of crime by supplying ammunition, and dishonest receiving.
Conviction
Whereas five of them were found guilty, the court acquitted Richard Dogbatsey and William Ansah of abetment of robbery.
