The UEW SRC President, H.E. Bismark Opoku, arranged the first town hall meeting in the auditorium of the School of Business. The main goal of the meeting was to give students a chance to interact with the council and voice their concerns on July 26, 2024, at 3 p.m.

In his speech, the SRC President touched on a few of the issues that students encounter and how well those problems have been resolved.

Throughout his presentation, he made clear to the students in attendance the importance of having a platform like this one where students can express their issues on campus. He went on to explain that the present students' thoughts, perspectives, and experiences are invaluable and that they should freely express them.

"I am proud to stand before you today to disclose on our progress. We have worked tirelessly to address the challenges facing our community by delivering on our mandate. As we gather here, we mark a significant milestone in our academic adventure." He stated.

He continued by addressing how much he likes the student portal and how it has been improved. He added by saying that although students first thought the portal was an inadequate system, it has since improved and is now an easy-to-use platform that provides fast access to information.

"Students now have access to vital announcements and grade checks." He said. The academic results of the students were again released on schedule as a result, he continued. He also mentioned the academic support system that was put in place to assist students with registering for classes and other things.

"We are steadfast in our dedication to academic greatness, and we are now working with management to get a desk so that every student has a comfortable space to learn and succeed academically. These consist of cutting edge technology, sufficient lighting, and comfortable furniture. Additionally, he mentioned that the lovers benches, which were in need of repair, had been properly done, offering students a comfortable sanctuary.

"We believe that every student deserves an equal opportunity to succeed."

regardless of our financial background, and we want to congratulate our departmental president, who plays a big role in allowing those who were held in police custody to be released.

We were also behind in soliciting funds to support our brother, who was diagnosed with stomach cancer, to undergo stomach surgery.
