A tragic incident has shaken the community as 24-year-old Lois Abena Koranteng, a recent Petroleum Engineering graduate of KNUST, was found dead in a hotel swimming pool in Takoradi.
Lois had checked into the Chris Lord Palace Hotel on a business trip with her boss and driver, occupying separate rooms. Tragically, a hotel worker discovered her lifeless body in the pool at dawn the next day, wearing only her bra and pants.
In spite of medical interventions, Lois was pronounced dead at the hospital. The results of a postmortem examination and an investigation by the police are not yet known to the public.
Initial findings show no visible signs of violence or trauma, leaving the circumstances surrounding her death unclear.
According to the hotel’s CCTV cameras, which were non-functional, this has raised concerns and sparked speculation on social media.
The sudden loss of this young and promising life has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving friends, family, and colleagues in mourning.
