National Service Personnel expect to receive their Allowances
National Service personnel can expect to receive their outstanding allowances for April and May 2024 within the next two weeks, according to the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA).
In a press release issued on July 3, 2024, NASPA clarified that they have not declared a strike, despite claims made by an unrecognized group called the “Concerned NSS Personnel Association of Ghana” (CONSAG).
According to the statement, allowances for April 2024 have already been processed and will be deposited into personnel’s e-zwich accounts by Friday, July 5th, 2024.Payments for May 2024 are expected to follow next week, arriving by Friday, July 12th, 2024.
However, NASPA emphasized their commitment to addressing the well-being of National Service personnel and apologized for the recent delays. They reassured personnel that they are working collaboratively with the National Service Scheme (NSS) management to prevent future issues and ensure timely disbursement of allowances.
The association expressed their appreciation for the patience and understanding of National Service personnel and urged them to remain calm and continue their valuable service to the nation. NASPA reiterated their commitment to actively address concerns and ensure a smooth national service experience for all.

NASPA HAS NOT DECLARED STRIKE
The National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) wishes to address a recent announcement made by a group calling itself the “Concerned NSS Personnel Association of Ghana,” which has declared a strike for National Service Personnel.
NASPA, the official representative body for all National Service personnel in Ghana,
categorically states that we have not declared any strike. We urge the public to disregard the statement from the “Concerned NSS Personnel Association of Ghana” (CONSAG), as they are not a recognized organization.
NASPA is actively engaged with the National Service Scheme (NSS) management to address the recent delays in allowance payments. We are pleased to inform all personnel that:
Allowances for April 2024 have been processed and paid and will reflect in your accounts by Friday, July 5, 2024.
Allowances for May 2024 will be paid next week, by Friday, July 12, 2024.
NASPA remains committed to your well-being. We are working diligently with the management of the scheme to prevent future delays and ensure the timely reflection of allowances in their e-zwich accounts.
