Guinness World Records (GWR): KNUST student to embark on a video game marathon
A third-year social work student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Azoumaro Vanessa Salese, is preparing to make history with a Guinness World Record attempt for the longest video game marathon.
The event will commence on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Republic Hall Common area on the KNUST campus.
Vanessa will be playing games in the Ghost of Tsushima series for an uninterrupted 48 hours, aiming to set a new record.
However, the current record holder is Oside Oluwole, aka "Khoded,” who performed the longest videogame marathon playing a soccer game, registering a time of 75 hours.
This bold endeavor has sparked considerable interest among the student body and the wider community.
Vanessa has called on everyone, both on and off campus, to come out and support her during this marathon gaming session.
Her determination and ambition have already made waves, and she hopes that this event will not only earn her a place in the record books but also inspire others to pursue their own unique goals.
