The EC announces the recruitment of temporary electoral officials.
The Electoral Commission of Ghana has announced the recruitment of temporary electoral officials and is receiving applications from interested parties for some selected positions.
The Electoral Commission stated that as part of its preparations for the conduct of the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections, they are receiving applications from interested parties for the following positions:
a. Registration Officers
b. Exhibition Officers
c. Presiding Officers
d. Registration Assistants (Data Entry Clerks and Lamination Officers)
e. Exhibition Assistants
f. Polling Assistants (Verification Officers, Ballot Issuers, and Name Reference List Officers)

EC urged all applicants to indicate the position they are applying for, as well as the region, district, and constituency in which they wish to work.
EC Recruitment: Duration of Engagement
Successful applicants would be engaged in all three (3) major activities of the Electoral Commission scheduled for 2024, namely the voter registration exercise, the exhibition of voter registers, and the general election.
EC Recruitment: Qualification Requirements
a) The minimum academic qualification for registration officers, exhibition officers, and presiding officers should be a first degree.
b) The minimum academic qualification for registration assistants,
Exhibition Assistant and Polling Assistant should be HND, Teacher Cert "A," Diploma, or their equivalent.
An appreciable knowledge of elections and the terrain in which the applicant wishes to work will be an advantage.
Besides the academic qualifications, applicants are expected to demonstrate the following technical skills and competencies:.
Required technical competence for application
Quantitative and analytical skills
A good working experience in collating data, figures, etc.
Required personal competence for application
Physical and mental alertness
Firm and fair in character
Ability to work under pressure
High level of honesty and integrity
Good team player
Political neutrality
