‘Freshers Akwaaba Night’ that is organized to welcome newly admitted students at the Universities of Education, Winneba
The SRC of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) came up with an idea, inviting Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale and some supported musicians to perform on March 9, 2024.
The designated place for the show to commence is at Jophus Anamuah (JAM) Car park, where the place was full of students, which brought a lot of unity, socialization, and a sense of joy to every single student who was present at the scene to celebrate a vibrant day for the freshers.

In the dim glow of the stage lights, the anticipation hung thick in the air as the audience (students) eagerly awaited the arrival of the musician (Shatta Wale). Backstage, amidst the hum of excitement and the faint echo of distant applause, the artist prepared to embark on a melodic journey that would captivate hearts and minds alike.
As the curtains parted, a hush fell over the crowd, broken only by the soft strumming of a sound. The musician Shatta Wale and other artists, including MC Cobby Mike, DJ 3Points, DJ Lord OTB, and MC Viperlino, transported the audience into a world of sound and emotion, weaving a tapestry of melodies that danced through the air like whispers in the wind.
With each note, the artist poured their soul into the music, channeling raw emotion and passion into every strum and every lyric. The stage became a sanctuary, a place where the boundaries between performer and audience blurred, and all that mattered was the music.
As the performance unfolded, the musicians's Shatta Wale, MC Cobby Mike, DJ 3Points, DJ Lord OTB, and MC Viperlino energy became infectious, spreading like wildfire through the crowd. Hands clapped, feet tapped, and voices sang along as the audience became an integral part of the experience, their energy feeding back into the performance in a beautiful symbiotic exchange.
But amidst the cheers and applause, there were moments of quiet introspection, where the music took on a life of its own, carrying listeners (students) away on a journey of self-discovery and reflection. In those moments, the stage became a sanctuary, a place of solace and serenity amidst the chaos of the UEW campus (JAM Car Park).
And then, as quickly as it had begun, the performance drew to a close, leaving the audience (students) breathless and yearning for more. As the musician Shatta Wale took their final bow and disappeared into the wings, the echoes of their music lingered in the air, a testament to the power of melody and the magic of the stage.
For those fortunate enough to witness it, the performance was more than just a concert—it was a transformative experience, a reminder of the beauty and wonder that music brings into our lives. And as the audience (students) spilled out into the night, their hearts full and their spirits uplifted, they carried with them the memory of a night spent in the presence of musical greatness.
