A female student at a Ugandan university discovered her best friend was developing emotions for their handsome and intelligent course representative, so she bit off her ear, setting off a horrific calamity at the university.
According to eyewitnesses, one of the students was heard shouting “Ndugyira ahamushaija”, a Runyankore word meaning ‘leave my man’.
However, during the fight, one of the girls lost her ear. It is said that the jealous friend who couldn’t let her colleague snatch her man took matters into her own hands and bit off her coursemate’s ear.
