Prominent media personality Nana Aba Anamoah recently opened up about how her father's dream of her becoming a doctor was dashed by her pregnancy.
Nana Aba, a science student at Ghana National College in Cape Coast, stated she was granted admission to medical school but was unable to attend due to her pregnancy.
"Did I sacrifice my education? Yes, I did. I never revealed this before, but I was granted to medical school for a year. In an interview with 3 Music TV, she said, "You know, I was a science student too, so I got admitted to medical school, and I had to let that go."
In what appeared to be a divine intervention, according to the broadcaster, she had to make a tough choice for the sake of her unborn child.
“I would have been a disaster as a medical doctor, and it came at the right time. My father was living his life through me. I think he wanted to be a doctor; he couldn’t do it, so he thought, Oh, my daughter will be a doctor,” she narrated.
She acknowledged, however, that her experiences and life decisions have shaped her into the woman she is today.
