GES intends to recruit 24,000 graduate teachers, effective next year. Check out the requirements.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) intends to recruit 24,000 graduate teachers from various universities and colleges of education in 2024. This is according to the chairman of EduWatch, Kofi Asare.

The Ghana Education Service recently opened the recruitment portal for graduates with diploma certificates. A lot of graduates who did their education at the various universities in Ghana believe that the portal will be opened for them to apply to. However, things seem to be delayed.

According to information that is accessible, the Ghana Education Service plans to officially open its portal in 2024 to begin recruiting degree-holding graduates for the service. The Ghana Education Service is conducting some rationalizing, which is the cause of the delay. In Ghana, certain senior high schools seem to be overstaffed, while others appear to be experiencing a teacher shortage. GES seeks to guarantee that school staffing levels are appropriate.

Consequently, it ensures that all senior high schools have the necessary amount of teachers on staff at any given time. After this is finished, GES will be able to calculate how many teachers each Ghanaian school requires in order to start the hiring process.

Before recruiting can begin, GES must complete this exercise in a few colleges even if they already have the records.

Before recruiting, the Ghana Education Service must receive financial approval from the Minister of Finance. Ghanamediatrend is unable to confirm the precise time that the portal will open for applications.
