Ghana’s Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, as of 9:10 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023, finally broke the Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon.
Afua Asantewaa Aduonum hits 106 hours of the Guinness World Record for the longest singing
The previously record was held by Sunil Waghmare, an Indian who sang for 105 hours in March 2012.
One of the people working tirelessly behind the scenes to see Afua achieve this great feat, Abby Awuni, took to her Facebook page earlier to share this great news.
However, she went on to add that currently what Afua is doing is trying to set her own record that will be difficult for anyone to break by singing for a few hours more.
Afua’s journey to break the above record started at midnight on December 24, and just as expected, she has finally broken the record after singing non-stop for a little over 4 days.
She has also received a lot of support from Ghanaian social media users who have sworn a hidden vow to deal with anyone who tries to say anything foul against what Afua Asantewaa has been doing.
