A widow has allegedly been arrested and detained by police after her late husband’s family allegedly called the police on her.
According to Harrison Gwamnishu, founder of the Behind Bars Initiative (BBI).
However, Harrison earlier posted photos of the widow bleeding from several wounds on her head. He alleged that the injury was inflicted by members of the late husband's family.
He further added that the cousin of the woman's deceased husband wanted to marry her, but she refused, hence the abuse.
According to the report, the woman has been arrested by police in Ejigbo, Lagos State, because she resisted their efforts to evict her.
He urged well-intentioned Nigerians to assist the woman.
