UCC has not granted a PhD to Prof. Oduro, management stated.
Professor George K. T. Oduro, the pro vice-chancellor and provost of the College of Distance Education, has not received a PhD, according to the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
There have been reports that UCC is where Professor George K. T. Oduro received his doctorate.
On November 27, however, the Management issued a statement stating that Prof. Oduro had not received a PhD from the University of Cape Coast. He attended the University of Cambridge (1999–2003) to study and earn his PhD. There are no records of his being cited for rape or plagiarism at the University of Cape Coast.
The publication should be considered "falsehood and an act of sheer mischief, and treated with utter contempt," the institution updated the general public.
