GES Officially Requests Data on Basic School Teachers and Learners

The Ghana Education Service (GES) is taking a proactive step to enhance teaching and learning in basic schools across the country. As part of its measures, the GES is gathering data on teachers and learners in all basic schools through a Google form.

It has been proposed that Regional Directors of Education provide the link for the data collection and make sure that, by the close of the day on Thursday, November 30, 2023, all heads of basic schools under their authority complete and submit the form.

The aim of the project is to collect accurate as well as current information regarding the number of teachers and pupils in primary schools. The GES will be able to use this information to make well-informed decisions about staff, curriculum development, and resource allocation.

The GES has guaranteed that the information gathered will be treated confidentially and utilized only for educational objectives. It is intended that this program will help Ghanaian education in general, especially at the basic level.

According to the statement, Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, the Ag. Director of Schools and Instructions Division, called on all regional directors to cooperate fully with the exercise and ensure that all heads of basic schools participate.
