Ghanaian musical sensation Black Sherif has set tongues wagging with a tweet that he want to go back to school.
Away from psychology, which he studies at the University of Ghana (UG), Blacko aims to pursue his passion for fashion by honing his skills in cloth making.
The artist, who recently released a new banger a few weeks ago, expressed the need to balance his music commitments with his aspirations in fashion.
He said in a tweet that he is arranging to drop his much-anticipated album to keep his fans busy, after which he will go on a hiatus and learn cloth making.
Black Sherif has always had a distinctive sense of taste; he frequently chooses for large, vintage items that go well with his aesthetic.
His unique sense of style has drawn notice, resulting in a collaboration with the Italian fashion label Ellesse.
He stated in an earlier interview that he finds the best thrift materials for his distinctive styles through a network of local traders at Kantamanto.
He continued by saying that Black Sherif designs in the style he likes and supervises while expert tailors execute his vision.
But after studying clothing craftsmanship, he plans to change the system and sew his own clothing.
