A 15-year-old boy from Drobo Gonasua in the Bono Region's Jaman South Municipality has been detained for allegedly taking part in the tragic murder of his grandmother.
According to Rainbow Radio reporter Kwame Adez, the murder mother's body was discovered in the backyard of her home three days after she was reported missing and had been covered with a bath sink. A search party has been sent out to find the woman.
The search team realized after finding the body that the woman's tongue, vagina, and other body parts had been cut off by the murderers. The victim was thought to be in her late 50s.
The 15-year-old boy was instantly implicated as a suspect by his younger brother, who claimed to have noticed blood marks on his hand when he got back to school. When the younger brother questioned, the elder brother said that the blood was from a chicken.
The suspect was arrested and detained as the body was transported to the mortuary after the police was call to the scene.
