 GhanamediatrendGhanaeducation.org

Ghana Education Service management of activities as far as education in basic and senior high schools is concerned

There is always constant monitoring from GES as to how the various schools in Ghana are being managed by headmasters and headmistresses.

In this modern era of education, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has introduced a system called teacher validation. This validation is done by validators in various schools. The essence of this validation is to give legit approval for the government to pay teachers their monthly salaries and yearly bonuses.

In every job, there is a need for promotion. Under GES (Ghana Education Service), promotion is also done for teachers based on the number of years served or level of qualification within a time frame.

Currently, some teachers under the Ghana Education Service have been promoted to various ranks in the teaching profession. It is therefore clear that all those teachers who have been promoted are entitled to receive an increment in their monthly salaries.

With this, an important message has been delivered to all validators in the various schools and to all sixteen regions of Ghana that all newly promoted teachers are expected to be validated in order to receive their salaries in full, which will reflect their promotion rank.

As if that weren't enough, all validators must take note that newest promoted teachers have been scaled to their respective positions and are due their about three (3) month arrears. It is anticipated that the three (3) month arrears would start in June 2023.

On matters of validation and promotion

Validators should take note that successful PS and AD1 candidates have been placed on a scale with a 3-month backlog as of June. - notice was given.

The principle superintendent is represented by the teaching rank of PS. ADS 1 under the GES ranks, on the other hand, stands for Assistant Director One (1). An individual's or a teacher's pay increases as they move up the Ghana Education Service ranks. Teachers are therefore constantly pushed to enroll in courses that would facilitate and expedite their promotion.
