The Abdul Razak Zenzeh campaign has issued a press warning, proposing to reject any attempt by the EC of UEW SRC to declare the 2023 general election other than a rerun of the two damaged polling places or to declare the entire process unlawful.
This was in a press release dated August 28, 2023, and signed by the communication team.
It comes after earlier reports of the conclusion of a meeting between the aggrieved candidate, the EC, and management.
According to the report, the EC is prepared to declare the elections today, August 29, 2023, but will do that after a communiqué has been issued.
However, the communication team of Zenzeh is ready to take on the EC should justice and fairness be compromised on the part of the electoral commission.
They ask that the remaining two polling places, where the EC determined that violence disrupted the voting process and stained it, be retaken, but they also insist that HPERSA polling place be added, to ensure adequate security is provided.
