SHS-2 STUDENTS IN DOUBLE TRACK SCHOOLS

They resumed on Monday, August 14, and are expected to be in school until November 30, 2023.

SHS-1 STUDENTS IN DOUBLE TRACK SCHOOLS

SHS 1 students in double-track schools are currently on break. They went on vacation on August 10, 2023. They are expected to be in the house until September 18, 2023. They will then be in school from that date until November 30, 2023 (same for SHS 2).

The 2023 academic calendar for both basic schools and SHS has been designed in such a way that this year’s academic year will end on September 15, 2023. August or September used to be the original date of vacation for basic schools and SHS before the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020. Following the outbreak of this pandemic, the academic calendar for all schools, including tertiary institutions, changed.

The Ghana Education Service is trying everything possible to bring back the old academic calendar.

CONCERN ABOUT THE SHS 3 STUDENTS?

SHS 3 candidates are currently writing their WASSCE. There will be no break or vacation for them until they are done with their last paper.

Teachers will be in class to teach them. If teachers are not around, candidates need to study past questions. One secret most candidates don’t know about the WASSCE is that the WAEC doesn’t really set new questions. About 90% of all WASSCE questions are past questions. WAEC usually frames the questions to make them new, but this is a past question.

Candidates should try to concentrate on the last five WASSCE past questions, which include 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, and 2018.

In order to avoid total dependence On Teachers And Tutors For exam Preparation. Try your best to study hard and pass your exams. As a WASSCE candidate, you have to do a lot more on your own.

Exhibiting that kind of constant reading, preparation, and looking for additional materials on the subject matter will broaden your mind and understanding and make your answers richer and more unique. Do not overdepend on your tutor; do more for yourself and increase your understanding. Today, almost everything you are learning is available on the internet.
