A University of Ghana professor Ransford Gyampo has been elected President of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) branch at the University of Ghana (UG).
With 93.3 percent of the total valid votes cast, he was elected.
"In driving the seat myself, I'll advocate for my people's interests forcefully and proactively." "As General Secretary, I lost some friends, and I don't mind losing more as I fight harder for the University Teacher in my capacity as President," he stated in a statement.
"It will not be out of malice or hatred for any regime," he added. It would be solely for the advancement of my people's interests.
"Thank you for your well wishes; thank you to all my colleague lecturers for your confidence in me; and thank you to my students for your relentless support."
