Police Arrested Three Suspects At Bolgatanga Hospital For Stealing Boxes Of Medicines.
The Ghana Police Service has arrested and detained three suspects for stealing boxes of medicine from the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.
During an intelligence operation, law enforcement personnel identified Raymond Asoke, Noeyelle Bridget, and Raheem Fasilat as suspects in the crime.
Raymond Asoke, a regional hospital driver, was arrested on August 4, 2023, while carrying boxes of medicines from an unmarked residence into a saloon car with registration number GE 1532 -21.
A search in the car yielded 12 boxes of various medications.
The search was expanded throughout the residence, where 22 more boxes carrying various types of medications were discovered and retrieved.
Further investigation led to the arrest of suspects Noeyelle Bridget, the hospital's assistant dispensary officer, and Raheem Fasilat, the regional hospital storekeeper.
According to the police , Raheem admitted to providing the driver with boxes of medicines.
However, with the press released by the police on Sunday, August 6, all three suspects are presently in custody and will be brought before the court to face justice.
Meanwhile, an investigation is underway to identify and arrest any other suspects, as well as to determine what the suspects do with the stolen hospital medications.
