Helina Muthoni, a woman from Murang'a, has said that her church pastor assaulted her when she went to pray for her husband, who used to torment her for no reason. This, she claims, occurred in his car.
According to Muthoni that, she met her husband while traveling in a matatu and exchanged phone numbers. They talked over the phone for a few days before getting married on the day she visited him. She claimed that her husband belonged to the Akurino church and that he could punish her for no cause, which disappointed her. She could run to her parents, but he'd come back and pick her up.
However, Helina stated that one day, after her husband had beaten her for no apparent reason, she went to visit her bishop, an Akurino. She called him and they agreed to meet at a specific location. He asked her to get into his car and locked the doors for a prayer when she arrived.
He assaulted her in the car after the prayer, she claims. As she returned home, she felt devastating and decided to divorce her husband. She then resolved not to enter into another relationship until the trauma she had been through was ended. She claims she has a fear of men and warns women not to believe men who call themselves men of God since some of them are truly devilish.
