A suicide letter from Ernest Atta Kyei, a 38-year-old headteacher who died by himself in Apaaso, a hamlet in the Adwira Sekyeredumase Municipality, just days before his wedding, has surfaced.
On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, around 9 p.m., the aforementioned occurrence was reported to have taken place in his room when he used a sponge to hang himself from a bar.
There were signs of certain liquids on the floor that were thought to be poison on the site of the dastardly, along with the suicide note.
"I can no longer live on this earth any longer," the suicide letter stated. No one is to blame. This is my father's number; please take care of my son on my behalf.
Mr. Ernest Atta Kyei was the head teacher of Apaaso Basic School in the Ashanti Region's Adwira Sekyeredumase Municipality until his tragic passing.
It's unclear at this time what led the teacher to decide to hang himself just a few days before heading down the aisle.
According to a colleague teacher with the report, the headteacher told him a few days ago he had a problem but did not give him details of his problem.
Additionally, the late Ernest Atta Kyei informed a coworker that the GHC 7,000 he was planning to use for his wedding had gone missing.
However, the body has been deposited at the morgue as police undertake further investigations.
