A second-year student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) was stabbed to death, Lambent Frimpong, 24-years-old died on Saturday, July 5, 2023, in a brawl over a missing T-shirt.
According to reports, the incident occurred at Kronum-Kwapra in the Suame Municipality in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
The deceased was suspected of stealing the T-shirt, which he denied; however, a misunderstanding resulted in a fight over the missing T-shirt, in which the young man was stabbed with a knife by his friend.
Despite the fact that an immediate attempt was made to save his life while he was bleeding, he was declared dead after being brought to the hospital.
Since then, the body has been preserved at the Komfo Anokye Morgue.
Meanwhile, the police started an investigation into the case as they searching for the suspect, who is also said to be a KNUST student.
The sad occurrence has left the Kwapra community in mourning.
