Janet Jackson, an American musician and the younger sibling of the late, legendary pop star Michael Jackson, amassed wealth during her five-year marriage to Wissam Al Mana, a billionaire businessman.
In 2012, Janet married Al Mana, a multibillionaire businessman from Qatar who oversaw 55 companies in the fields of media, engineering, fashion, and real estate.
She met Al Mana in 2006, and the two began dating in 2010. When Jackson was 46 years old and the billionaire was 37, they got engaged and married in 2012.
It was a contract marriage, so they wed in secret, away from the media.
The first of the two stipulations in the arrangement said that the singer would receive $100 million if they were married for at least five years.
The second provision said that if she had a son for him, she would be given an additional $100 million.
Jackson got pregnant in 2016 and gave birth to her son Elissa in 2017, at the age of 50.
Shortly after giving birth to her baby in 2017, the singer made the decision to file for divorce, citing a cultural divide with her millionaire spouse as the justification.
Al Mana, by giving Jackson the full amount agreed upon after they parted ways, also upheld his end of the contract.
However, the couple is co-parenting their son.
