According to the Microfinance and Small Loans Center (MASLOC), the district's security issue is the reason the MASLOC officer in Bawku had to close.
In response to what it calls false information spreading on various social media platforms and websites, MASLOC issued a press release denying any attempt was being made to deprive the public of its services by temporarily closing the Bawku District office.
The institution and the issues being circulated contain some inaccuracies and do not represent the full facts.
“The institution would like to inform the general public and its stakeholders that the primary reason for its decision to temporarily close its zonal offices in Bawku was due to the insecurities at Bawku, which made the office non-functional,” MASLOC explained.
