"Next of kin" talks about how a person's closest living relative, typically a spouse, parent, child, or sibling. This term is often used in legal and medical contexts to identify the person who would be contacted or have legal rights and responsibilities in case of an individual's illness, injury, or death.

Many people are unaware that their next of kin's name has changed on the SIM they are currently using. In this article, we will show you how to go by that.  

Follow the procedures to verifying whether your Next of Kin name on your SIM card matches your name. 

Some of the SIM names are not the same as the name of the next of kin, especially the Old SIM.

Kindly follow this procedure or the steps below to check if your next of kin is appropriate. 

 

Dial *170# and press Okay.

Select number 6 and press Okay.

Press # For Next.

Select number 10 and press Okay.

If your next of kin uses the precise name you have used, there is no problem 

However, you must act quickly and update it if your name and the name of your next of kin are not the same. 

Please proceed by pressing the number "1 Change Next Of Kin" to alter your next of kin if you have any issues with that.
