Attack On Kumasi-Bawku bus: 1 K!lled, 7 Injuries
In the West Mamprusis municipality of the North East area, close to Walewale, there has been one k!lled from alleged attackers.
According to information obtained by DGN Online, on Friday, July 21, 2023, around dawn, a bus traveling from Kumasi to Bawku was shot at outside of Walewale in the North East.
In the incident, there were seven victims with injuries of varying severity.
The incident is allegedly tied to a persistent chieftaincy-related struggle that is taking place within the enclave, according to the Ghana Police Service.
A manhunt has been started by the North East Regional Command to find and apprehend the culprits.
In the meantime, the bus that was involved in the attack mysteriously caught fire in front of the Nalerigu Place station, where it was parked for inspection.
Since then, the police have started looking into what exactly started the fire that involved the bus that was parked.
