A 22-year-old woman dies "within ten minutes" after undergoing buttocks enlargement surgery and being given anaesthetic
The untimely death of a 22-year-old lady who passed away during buttock enlargement surgery by a "unqualified" beautician who was her "friend" is being investigated by Russian authorities.
The woman known as Mika Shabasova was undergoing the procedure when she died 'ten minutes after she was administered local anesthetic for the procedure.
Before an ambulance came to cosmetologist Uma M's "home practice," who is currently under house arrest, she had already passed away.
She recalled asking Shabasova whether she had any allergies.
The beautician was characterized as a former waitress who performed "lip, cheek, and buttock enlargements" despite not having a license for cosmetic surgery. A forensic medical examination will be used to determine the cause of death, according to 112 media sites.
The Russian Investigative Committee said: 'A 22-year-old resident of Makhachkala, while visiting her friend, who performs cosmetic procedures at home, died on the spot after the administration of an anesthetic.
'Currently, all the circumstances of the incident are being established.'
According to a friend of the deceased, he had advised Shabasova against getting the buttocks treatment that Uma M had promoted.
He explained that the beautician who was scheduled to execute the procedure had just recently gotten a qualification. She earned her cosmetology license after completing a two-week course. She was applying lash extensions before that.
Nevertheless, reports claimed that she lacked a license for such cosmetic surgery.

She was off work due to a fever three days before to the procedure.
She shared an apartment with three other girls, and they all made an effort to talk her out of seeing this beautician.
