ATTENTION: Danger on the Adomi Bridge as portions of the road develop potholes.

Danger is looming on the Adomi Bridge at Atimpoku in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region due to a pothole on the Juapong stretch.

Apart from this scene, there are cracks on some other portions of the road, which could damage the world-renowned bridge if not worked on.

This came to light when the Onua News Team visited the Adomi Bridge.

It was observed that the drivers who are joining the bridge from the Juapong stretch veer off into the lane of oncoming vehicles as they try to dodge the pothole, and this could lead to a head-on collision.

Some of the drivers who ply the road acknowledged the danger that potholes pose to them.

However, they explained that the pothole has been there for some years now, but no one is attending to it.

According to the Asuogyaman District Chief Executive, Samuel Kwame Agyekum, when contacted, explained that even though the bridge is not under his jurisdiction, the Assembly has taken the matter up.

However, he explained that the Adomi Bridge is under the Ghana Highway Authority, but the Assembly has written to them to fix the pothole.

Mr. Agyekum admitted that he has not heard anything from the Eastern Regional Highways and would therefore follow up to ensure the pothole is fixed.
