Following a significant meeting between the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association, the 2019 NAC/NAP nurses, midwives, and diploma/degree referral batches were hired.
According to GRNMA, the NAC/NAP 2019 batch who applied through the ministry of health (MoH) recruitment portal in November last year are expected to begin work by March 2023 at the latest.
These nurses have been given the assurance that they will all be contacted between now and March 2023 by the various organizations, including the GHS, CHAG, and Teaching Hospitals.
By March 2023, the 2019 Diploma and Degree referral batch is also anticipated to start working. More information will be given to the group as soon as possible.
However, the GRNA leadership has advised all nurses and midwives not to pay any money to anyone or any entity regarding their postings.
“We have already heard the activities of some scammers who want to use this opportunity to fraudulently take money from vulnerable nurses and midwives”.
The Association has assured to its members its commitment and determination to work with the Ministry of Health and its agencies to hire all nurses and midwives who have successfully completed their various programs of study and are in possession of valid licenses to practice.
