When word of Coach Sellas Tetteh's failing health condition reached the public, a generous donor provided him with GHC 50,000 in financial support.
The Under-20 World Cup winning coach in 2009 complained that he wasn't paid for his services.
Sellas Tetteh has received a GH50,000 donation from a private lotto operator, Alpha Lotto, in support of him and as a thank you for his support of Ghanaian football.
"Alpha Lotto were heartbroken when we heard the coach and national asset crying in the media of difficulty," the representative of Alpha Lotto said after presenting Silas Tetteh with the cash.
Therefore, we give "Borboo" a cheque for Gh 50,000 as part of Alpha Lotto's corporate social duty. We expect that the widow's mite will be utilized primarily to pay for his medical bills and general well-being.
In addition to pushing other well-meaning Ghanaians to help Silas Tetteh, Mr. Nukamewor emphasized the need of commemorating our heroes while they are still with us.
Coach Silas Tetteh gratefully collected the cash from Alpha Lotto Limited and thanked them for their thoughtful gesture.
