President was unaware of Meek Mill's recording his music video

According to Richard Ahiagbah, the NPP's director of communications, American rapper Meek Mill did not have permission to recording his music video at Accra's Jubilee House.

His remarks follow Ghanaians' criticism of a music video teaser that featured an American rapper and his crew going about the Jubilee House, from the front to the conference room and various seating places.

After Meek Mill shared a piece of the video via his Instagram feed, there was concern among the general public.

Later, the rapper could be seen addressing the crowd from in front of the lectern that the president typically uses.

However, the former Deputy Director of Research at the Presidency said in a tweet on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, that the executive branch was unaware of the musician's acts.

"The Presidential office did not approve of the Meek Mill music video. "The musician has realized his indiscretion, apologized, and taken down the video," Mr. Ahiagbah said. He never asked for permission to use the video.
