Sub-location Kasaka Thomas Chesang, a 47-year-old administrator, was charged with defiling the 14-year-old girl on various days between February and August 2021. Chesang was found guilty of a felony after being found guilty of defiling and impregnating a Class Seven pupil, according to Senior Resident Magistrate Caroline Ateya.
After being found guilty of defiling a juvenile, the Chief was sentenced to 40 years in jail by the High Court in Kabarnet, Baringo County, on Friday.
Administrator of the Kasaka sub-location Thomas Chesang, 47, was charged with defiling the 14-year-old girl on various dates between February and August 2021.
He was charged with a second offense of violating Section 11 (1) of the $3xual Act Number 3 of 2006 by engaging in an indecent act with a kid.
Chesang was found guilty of a felony after being found guilty of defiling and impregnating a Class Seven student, according to Senior Resident Magistrate Caroline Ateya.
The administrator forced the girl to get an abortion before hiding her in West Pokot, denying her the chance to attend school, according to testimony given in court.
Magistrate Ateya jailed the Chief when making the decision, stated that the punishment will serve as a deterrent to others.
The magistrate added that the minor girl is weak and was psychologically damaged as a result of the horrible incident.
