Cancer: I Am Now On Medication For The Rest Of My Life – Nigerian Actress, Mercy Johnson Open Up
Mercy Johnson-Okojie, a well-known Nigerian actress, has spoken up about a health problem that required lifelong medication.
The actress disclosed that six months after giving birth to her last kid, she experienced a cancer scare that necessitated a life-altering operation.
The mother of four made the extremely emotional admission on her most recent edition of her cookery show on YouTube, where she had Joke Silva as a special guest for a talk.
Mercy had asked Joke about her husband Olu Jacobs’ health, and that led to the conversation about Mercy’s own health struggles.
Mercy said, “Odi [her husband] and I have actually been here and I have never discussed it where we had, like uhm, a scare. I had a cancer scare in quote and I had like my thyroid removed. And it was like a journey for us because we had kids.
My last was six months at that time and then we kept on saying “okay, we have to understand that this is the new us, let’s go get the surgery done”. And then we got there, they said I was going to be on medication for the rest of my life and it was a reality that we had to sit down.
"You know, they gave me a schedule and said I shouldn't forget to take my medication.That's the first thing you do the next morning. describing all the negative impacts to me. I therefore agree with what you are saying since it is the truth. Once you realize where we are, let's continue to develop and maintain our current level of comfort.
