A worrying video, which goes viral on social media, shows how a trotro driver and his companion attacked a motor traffic and transport department police officer (MTTD).
Since the video was apparently taken in the middle of the altercation, it is now unknown what exactly motivated the trotro driver and his companion to assault the police officer.
In the seen the Trotro Drive and the Mate can be seen physically assaulting the Police Officer
Before the policeman could stand up to stop the beatings but was still unsuccessful in doing so, they both had him pinned to the ground and had been punching him for a while.
The spectators can be seen standing back and observing the officer suffer his pain until he is able to stand up.
Later, several onlookers drew forward to persuade the trotro driver and his companion to stop assaulting the police officer.

While this is going on, some comments on social media claim that the driver was detained by the police for a traffic violation and refused to stop at the police station when they were being taken there.
They then brought him somewhere else and began hitting him. The driver and his companion are reportedly in custody, though.
