The Technical University Teachers' Association of Ghana (TUTAG) Suspended Strike and ask Members to resume work Monday

The Technical Universities Teachers' Association of Ghana (TUTAG) leadership has declared that the Association's weeks-long strike action will be suspended indefinitely.

Since Friday, November 18, all TUTAG members have been on strike.

In contrast, a press release from the government team and the labour union on December 10 stated that the strike action had been put on hold following the conclusion of negotiations on domestically produced fund-related terms of service, off-campus and car maintenance allowances.

The suspension is effective right away.

The 10 Public Technical Universities are consequently urged to resume classes on Monday, December 12, 2022.

The National Labour Commission (NLC) was thanked in the statement co-signed by President Collins Ameyaw and General Secretary Abubakari Zakari for "helping the parties reach agreement in reference to the foregoing allowances."

We express our gratitude to the Honorable Minister of Education for his honesty, sincerity, and involvement during the negotiation process.

We express our gratitude to the Honorable Minister of Education for his honesty, sincerity, and involvement during the negotiation process.

Finally, we want to thank all of our brave members for their help during the process.
