Two earth tremors have affected several parts of Accra. On Monday, December 12, 2022, at around 11 a.m., the two earthquakes were detected.
The tremor was felt in a number of locations, including Adabraka, Gbawe, McCarthy Hill, and Mallam.
Nicholas Opoku, the Principal Seismologist of the Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA), has pleaded with Ghanaians not to panic about the most recent earthquake. He predicted that occasionally, Accra would continue to feel these shocks.

Even the most recent ones were from 2018 to 2020. Since Accra is located in an earthquake-prone area, we have been stating all along that from time to time we will experience mild earthquakes up until a large one occurs.
