Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister of Education, has Admonished National Service Personnel assigned to classrooms in 2022–2023 to follow the Standard Operating Procedure throughout their one-year service.
The 4-week programme for 3,100 Personel who have been assigned to both public and private organizations across the country started on November 30.
According to Dr. Adutwum, who spoke at the launch event, "equipping National Service Personnel with this skills would make them more productive in the classroom as they support our various agencies in helping us offer a successful curriculum."
The Chief of Staff, Madam Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, stated that the training gives the workers professional abilities to provide high-quality instruction to the shools.
The National Teaching Council's registrar, Dr. Christian Addai Poku, stressed the importance of service employees upholding standards while in service during a 4-week intensive orientation session that the Ghana Education Service (GES) organized prior to postings.
He declared, "This training does not, by any standard, qualify participants as instructors." He continued by saying that "the people must enroll on the process if they want to be competent teachers after their service."
