NDC POLLS; I don't support any Candidate - Former president John Dramani Mahama

John Dramani Mahama, a former president, has advised candidates in the upcoming election for National Executives to cease using his name in connection with their campaign.

The former President said in a statement that he had no preference for any of the contenders and has not given his support to any of them.

"Mr. Mahama has observed the attempt by some candidates to peddle a narrative, in spite of his prior warnings, that he supports their candidacy. To build the Ghana we desire, President Mahama will engage with Ghanaians who are suffering and expecting to win the NDC election in 2024.

He will cooperate with whoever the delegates select and elect, like other NDC supporters, according to a statement signed by Joyce Bawa Mogtari, the former President's special assistant.

The opposition NDC will conduct its 10th National Delegates Congress on Saturday in order to choose national executives to lead the organization before the elections in 2024.

The Office of the Previous President has also denounced a tabloid media report that one of the NDC candidates for National Chairman had the support of the former President's family.

The rank and file of the party are urged to dismiss the aforementioned allegation and publication because they are untrue.
