The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has released regulations that car owners must follow in order to register their vehicles in the upcoming year.
The 2012 Road Traffic Regulations, according to a statement from the DVLA on Saturday, govern this (L.1 2180).
The new procedure, according to the company, will help reduce the regular crowds at its registration centres.
This registration term would start on January 3, 2023, according to the DVLA
The Authority outlined the following procedures for compliance as a result:
Present the car at any authorized vehicle testing facility for a test based on the equipment.
Customs clearance, a vehicle inspection, and the verification of documentation can all be done by presenting the vehicle at any DVLA registration center.
For the required service, DVLA representatives will produce an invoice.
STAGE 2 (To be completed from January 3, 2023)
a. Pay at your preferred registration center with cash, a Visa Card, or another electronic method.
b. Record biometric information at the DVLA registration facility.
c. Gather the necessary registration paperwork, including the license plate(s), Certificate of Title, Vehicle Registration Biometric Card, and Vehicle Roadworthiness Certificate, to finish the process.
"Only original copies of all customs and other supporting documents should be used. The main document is the National Identity Card (Ghana Card). All individuals who are legally permitted to act for and on behalf of the car owner must show a Power of Attorney and their National ID for verification, according to the statement.
In order to prevent fraud, the DVLA advised the general public to avoid working with unlicensed individuals, particularly middlemen referred to as "Goro Boys."
