Accra Circuit Court has remanded former Light Heavyweight champion Braimah Issah Kamoko, also known as Bukom Banku, for allegedly stabbing a man.
The prosecution stated that on Friday, November 25, at around 5:30 p.m., Bukom Banku and a few associates attacked several other people in Bukom.
Ishmael Neequaye, the complaint, was awakened from his sleep by noises in the neighborhood. Consequently, he decided to diffuse the situation by himself.
But according to the prosecution, when Bukom Banku saw the complainant, he shattered a bottle and gave it to his son Mustapha so that he may hurt Ishmael.
The complainant was wounded in the abdomen and brought to the Korle Teaching Hospital for treatment after Mustapha complied.
Up until they received a criminal summons, attempts to apprehend the boxer and his son were ineffective.
Justice Adelaide Abui Keddey, the presiding court, rejected the two's request for bail despite their pleas of innocence.
They were held back until their next court appearance on Monday, December 19.
Prosper Quaye, a 32-year-old third suspect, is missing. He's said to have used a stone to destroy a 32-inch television during the altercation.
