According to the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association, rejected posting by one of its members in the Upper East region's Bawku don't blamed us.
According to the group, the current state of security in Bawku does not promote a favorable working environment.
With the most recent event last Monday ending in the deaths of six people, Bawku has recently experienced some unrest.
Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo, president of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association, pleaded with all parties concerned to put down their arms in a Citi News interview so that the delivery of healthcare in the region would not be jeopardized.
"Everything that is going on in Bawku is a major source of concern for us. It is something over which we have no control. To ensure that there is peace in Bawku, all we are asking is for the two sides to put down their arms. According to the information we are receiving from our employees, they are unable to report for work since their safety cannot be guaranteed.
