Some are attributing the little boy's activities to terrible poverty, but I bet to disagree and firmly believe that only excessive avarice will drive a boy of his age to consider money ritu@ls.
Poverty is unrelated to this. Nowadays, young boys and girls desire to spend money extravagantly, much like the TV celebrities. If there was poverty, he would be considering his daily bread.
The 15-year-old boy attacked the native doctor's place in this video to help him acquire quick cash.
The native doctor took advantage of his youth by tricking him into swearing an oath, not realizing that he was laying a curse on himself to never partake in money rituals in the future or in the present.
Given that native doctors have taken over Facebook and have previously given money to the Sakawa boys, should we hold them responsible for their role in this current thirst for money as well?
When society praises money without investigating its origins, this is what you get. Children have witnessed men with fraudulent or stolen wealth being lauded, as well as those who chose to maintain a good reputation dying horribly and being mocked. They observe cues.
